Three very different routes: money for veterans returning to school, support for children of deceased or disabled veterans, and fully paid education for serving members.
- VAC Education and Training Benefit — up to $50,569.97 after 6 years of service or $101,139.94 after 12 (2026 indexed rates); short courses up to $6,321.24. Apply through My VAC Account.
- Educational assistance for children — tax-free support for up to 4 calendar years / 36 academic months for eligible children of deceased or disabled veterans.
- CAF Paid Education — 100% tuition, books and equipment plus salary, tied to CAF occupations; the service commitment is generally two months for each month of paid education, and online distance learning is excluded.
