Better Jobs Ontario
Eligible laid-off, unemployed or precariously employed workers can get Up to $28,000 for ≤1 year; $35,000 for >1 to ≤2 years toward short-duration skills training — plus possible living support up to $500/week and childcare/disability supports.

What it covers
Tuition and training costs for approved short-duration programs (up to about two years), including eligible career-college programs — plus living, childcare and disability supports in many cases.
How to apply
- Book an appointment with an Employment Ontario service provider — they run the suitability assessment.
- Build a training plan for an approved program (compare programs on the program search).
- Submit the application with your provider and wait for the decision — approval is never guaranteed.
